Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The shadows she saw on the lawn prompted her to work for months on a technique, which however, did not paint the selected object onto canvas. It is more like the object has been transformed into it's own representation which is based its interpretation from the artist. It is most effective when working with living things or objects that can be perishable such as fruits or people. The ephemeral nature of her painting style is evident and what survives of Alexa Meade's work is the photographic image. The painting and photography techniques are closely coordinated and result in a flat, two-dimensional area that is trompe l'oeil. The only areas of the photo, like the hair or eyes, reveal the third dimension. Meade will sometimes integrate her painted model into the surrounding three-dimensional environment, which allows for them to interact within their own world. This eliminates the distinctions between painting, photography and installation.
