Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was created by Dana Elaine Owens in Newark, New Jersey, on March 18, 1970. The second daughter of Lance and Rita Owens, Latifah is best known for her public speaking skills, social politics and ability to rhyme. At the age of eight her Muslim cousin gave her the name Latifah which means "delicate" and "sensitive" in Arabic. Latifah started singing in the choir of the church of Shiloh located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her first performance was when she sang "Home" as the character of Dorothy in a production of The Wizard of Oz at St. Anne's Parochial School. Latifah's mother was the catalyst for her involvement; she was constantly in touch with the children and music. Mark James, a local disc jockey called D.J., was invited to the party. Mark the 45 King, was invited to perform at a school dance.
